Brooke first learned how to needlepoint several summers ago while studying Art History in London, England and Cortona, Italy. She loved how her artwork could travel with her and allow her to create everywhere she went.

For Brooke, canvases became meditative, tactile reveries of her life and she wanted to share that creative experience with others. It can be both empowering and soothing to create something with your hands, hang it up in your home or gift to a loved one.

While stitching her first design in an airport, she made the decision to put paint to canvas and started creating her collection. Combining her love of photography with a knack for needlepoint, she has been making waves in the needlepoint industry ever since.

From living in the mountains of Vermont to the hills of Cambridge and the coast of British Columbia, Thorn Alexander has developed into a colorful outlet for Brooke to chase her curiosity, tell stories of her travels, ignite creative outlets and give back to our planet. She is most inspired by music, travel, books, architecture, history and the natural world.

She feels very fortunate to be able to say that her work has been shared by storytellers through publications like Vanity Fair, Better Homes & Gardens, House Beautiful and Martha Stuart. Her multi-disciplinary work has been amplified by Enivornment and Climate Change Canada, Elle UK and more.

Brooke now lives on Vancouver Island with her husband, affectionately known on social media as Mr. Oceans.
