I have to admit, I fell in love with this Anne Fisher design the first time she posted about it on Instagram. My childhood might as well have been wrapped in Pierre Deux fabric and the nostalgia of the motif caught my attention immediately.

While flipping through canvases and catching up with Maria Timmerman of In Stitches Fine Needlepoint in Dorset, I found a copy! With the pursuit to stitch as many needlepoint ornaments as I can in 2020, I let fate take over and added it to my collection. It was the perfect project to travel with due to it’s small size and limited color palette- loved stitching this on the plane to Tanzania, watching a film about Indian Block Printing techniques.

Threads I used from my stash:

Silk & Ivory:

Claret, White, Mustard, Delphinium, Regatta

This canvas is my 2/20 for the 20 in 2020
