I was thrilled to step off the mountain and find that the needlepoint community had set out a challenge, to stitch twenty projects in 2020. Smartly so, many of you all have chosen ornaments for the majority of your projects. These not only stitch up quickly and aid in utilizing our stashes, but also contribute greatly to the needlepoint economy. As a designer, thank you so much for including me in many of your curating choices!

Here’s to twenty projects in 2020!

This challenge was an excellent excuse for me to pick up a few extra canvases by other designers, but also to finally muster up the courage to tackle canvases that have been hiding in the back of my closet. You know those projects you get really excited about, stitch 70% of it and then don’t look at it for a year? It’s time to get those out and get stitching! Gifting these projects if they “no longer bring you joy” may be a welcome incentive to finish them up and give a loved one a handmade heirloom.

In effort to showcase canvases I love by other designers, my goal is to stitch 20 canvases by other designers in tandem to 20 of mine.

I’ll be posting regularly on my progress for projects both small and pillow sized!
