Welcome!

Hi There!

I’m so happy to see you!

Welcome to MakeHers & Muses— a crazy idea I had a few summers ago and had been keeping on the back burner. Since then, I have been tremendously excited to see female entrepreneurs from my village in Vermont and beyond fire things up. To start something, whether big or small, a side hustle, a full time- all encompassing enterprise, or outlets for giving back to their community in their own way.

As a true believer in meaningful collaboration over competition with a severe case of curiosity- I wanted to submerge myself in this project. To discover and share the beauty of learning from a multitude of people through the powers storytelling, I decided to just start somewhere.

We grow to give.

It’s high time to shed a spotlight on these women, right?

Join me as I dive into the minds of some seriously cool women making a whole lot of something out of a few dreams and some tenacious grit. Together, we will explore a series of artistic anecdotes, ethereal wantrepreneurships, individual identities of success and the finely tuned lens of each female maker and entrepreneur.

To start, many of these women are from my various circles. We studied abroad together, we used to longboard together, we now turn to each other for support.

I am delighted to share with you their stories with a bit of a visual twist from their perspective as these ladies have a magnificent eye for a creative life. In their “free time,” they coach mountain biking, lead hikers up Kilimanjaro, coach skiing or specialize in farm raised flower arrangements. To work for oneself can be a lonesome journey and make one feel as if they are a Siberian leopard experiencing this unique lifestyle entirely alone. We’re here to tell you that you’re not alone. That it’s okay to feel like having the freedom to travel or pay off your student loans is your ultimate goal for success. To be on a mission to check off the what-if boxes.

Having a sleepy, slow morning, enjoying a cuppa in silence is a treasured treat around here. So fire up the kettle and take a dip into each tale— visions for the work that they do both for themselves and their communities.

xo,

Brooke
