Caught Thread-Handed: Vol. I
Caught Thread-Handed: Vol. I
It brings me the utmost happiness to see where you take your needlepoint and how you make it your own. After all, I was sitting in an airport when I came up with the roots for Thorn Alexander.
Within the few images below, you will find the multitude by which Thorn Alexander stitchers have integrated their projects into meaningful aspects of their lives. Needlepoint makes for a great way to create on the go or feel productive while binge watching The Crown in anticipation for Sunday’s Season 3. Most importantly, needlepoint is incredibly therapeutic and is a welcome shake up to the intermittent-boredom scroll.
Luck should have it that the stitchers below are some of my closest friends. Friends I have met along this needlepoint journey and those whose friendships just happened to develop a loving stitchy twist as they added needlepoint to the mix. The majority of them, I met through the ever rising in popularity, Stitch n’ Bitch.
Shortly following a move from Burlington, VT to Boston in 2017, a client became a dear friend after inviting me to the Beacon Hill’s Sevens for the bi-weekly Stitch n’ Bitch meetup. Through her, I made so many straight up, kick ass friends and I never thought this life would bring me this much joy to my life. Nowadays, you can find your own Stitch Club on instagram and meet your main stitches. Needlepoint is the new book club and I can’t wait to hear from you how it has changed your life.
Seeing photos of your progress or your finished pieces are the highlight of this path and I invite you to fill my inbox with needlepoint love via hello@thornalexander.com. High resolution and well lit images preferred.
