Welcome!

I am so excited you are here as this post has been a very long time coming!

Below you will find a few patterns that I cooked up and would send while encouraging friends to learn to needlepoint over the years. With the amount of uncertainty folks are feeling working from home or schooling their kiddos, it didn’t feel right to continue to keep these to myself. By the suggestion of a few friends who don’t stitch, I thought it might be fun to include some free patterns for the masses.

I know it can sometimes seem like a scary leap, so whether your’e a cross-stitching convert or want to do something with your stash- I hope you enjoy these patterns below! They are beginner level or fabulous for making personalized gifts for loved ones.

You will find two variations that are fit for the Planet Earth Finishing case. For a how-to video on finishing, I highly recommend you check out Morgan Julia’s youtube page! She also appears to have a free pattern for a Diet Coke Can on leopard print.

As far as materials are concerned, these patterns are fit for both needlepoint and cross-stitch. I highly recommend seeing you can find some blank canvas from a shop online or in store. For threads, DMC are wonderful if you are on a budget. Otherwise, I really love Planet Earth (13 mesh) Pepper Pot (18 mesh), Silk & Ivory (13 mesh), and Vineyard Silk) (sometimes 13, mostly 18).

I invite you to share the love and share on your platforms to those you think would benefit from learning to take up stitching!

Happy stitching!

xo,

Brooke

This pattern is relatively simple and designed so that you may stitch it with any colors in your stash! 49 Stitches by 50 stitches wide. Divide 49 and 50 by either 13 or 18 (mesh size) to get dimensions. I recommend that you have at least one half skein to one full skein of the background color.

I recommend that you find center both within your canvas and the design and make a wee little note with a fine point black sharpie. Basic outlining of the design (darker color) is okay too- just don’t over do it!

Feel free to print and sketch out your dimensions as well as make notes for counting stitches!

Under our Resources page, you will find our personalization chart should you wish to add a monogram.

The only thing better than finding out that Cher needlepoints is needlepointing a design inspired by a different Cher!

This design is a variation of the top Wedgewood pattern, so dimensions apply to this one as well.

Happy stitching!!

Brooke
