Uplifting Things Happening Around The World
I. Give it up for Peter Tsai, the inventor of the N95 mask. He had previously retired but, at the start of the pandemic, he started working about 20 hours a day mostly for free to fight the spread of COVID19.
II. Rehan Staton credits his time as a sanitation worker for helping him see his potential, and now he’s headed to Harvard Law School. Check out the moving story here.
III. Did you hear about the two young scientists that built a $250 million business that uses yeast to clean up waste water?!
IV. Inmates in Florida spent the 4th of July comforting homeless dogs that may be triggered by fireworks.
V. A judge just ordered that the Dakota Access pipeline be shut down for environmental review - a huge win!
VI. I loved seeing this video featuring a 26 year old nurse who plays the violin for hospital patients after her shifts.
