Went to ACK and never came bACK
I have been very lucky to have spent quite a lot of time on this precious little island since I was very little.
My favorite memories include a seagull stealing my Something Natural sandwich after enjoying a mere bite, surfing at sunset to come back to shore and hear that sharks like sunset surfers, spotting the “wild animals” on the way to Siasconset, house parties in Siasconset, bonfires on the beach and lining up at The Juice Bar with my younger cousins while our parents stay out. Twenty-something summers of stories to be shared and many to not tell in front of my parents…
When we were invited to bop around for a dear friend’s bachelorette on Nantucket, I couldn’t have been more delighted. I hadn’t truly been for the sake of stitching! Revisiting Erica Wilson as a needlepoint designer was a treat and the perfect setting to celebrate our girl. Below you will find snippets of stitching to, on and from the island as well as a bit of the saga that got us there. Enjoy!
A perfect little canvas find at Erica Wilson!
