There She Goes: Hometown Love
Hello & Happy Wednesday!
Helllloooo August! Wow, that happened fast 😅 This week I took a little paddle in a nearby body of water and it was pretty darn magical. I didn’t realize until I was out on the water that it had been quite a while since I had done something like that - witnessed nature’s beauty and taken an hour to relax and enjoy. Spoiler: this is also what I invite you to do as self care this week.

Songs To Stitch To, Sing To, Get You Through The Week
Set Aside Some Time This Week For Some Self-Care
I. Get out on the water, or even just by a body of water. Turn off any distractions and allow beauty of nature to unfold before you.
II. Skip the small talk. Next time you talk with a friend or family member honestly share how you’re doing and what you’re up to. See if it helps them to open up and do the same.
III. Bake something you’re proud of! I whipped up this sourdough loaf and I’m so happy with how it came out. If you’re looking to jump into the sourdough game, don’t be intimidated! Here’s a simple recipe to get started.
Soulful Salutations

II. “All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.” — Walt Disney
III. “Once you know you are worthy and your story is worthy, you fight for other stories.” — Jedidiah Jenkins
Uplifting Things Happening Around The World

II. Three men were stranded on an island in Micronesia for three days. Then they wrote SOS in the sand and were found and rescued!

Have a great week!
Be well,
Sheila
