There She Goes: Last Call On July Days!
Hello & Happy Wednesday!
My partner & I made it to New Hampshire! Last Friday we took off from Colorado, and we arrived by Sunday night 😅. It was a bit of a whirlwind traveling and making sure we stayed as safe as possible. Mostly it involved very long days in the car, lots of water bottles in tow, and plenty of puppy potty breaks. My heart is so happy to be with my family, in my childhood home, and soaking up the beautiful nature of New Hampshire. I hope that each of you gets the chance to take a moment to pause this week to inhale & exhale outside.
PS. We started our road trip the same time that Taylor Swift launched her new album - great timing I’d say. Fan or not, her songs are catchy and it was a nice way to spend some driving hours.
On to the good stuff!
What’s new
All Stitched Up: JCB Stitches Buoy Part I
“These little projects are both as perfect for beginners as they are for travelers. They’re small, simple and a great, fast stitching project to keep in your bag!”
Have you made your Fall 2020 pre-orders yet? This week I am loving the Hermes Hippie Kit !
Songs To Stitch To, Sing To, Get You Through The Week

the last great american dynasty - Taylor Swift
Set Aside Some Time This Week For Some Self-Care
I. Get your mask on! Yes, the mask that will prevent the spread of COVID19 but also this week, give your skin a little love & treatment. Maybe your scalp could use some tea tree & coconut oil, perhaps your face could benefit from some soothing oatmeal & honey or cucumber. Make a mask and rejuvenate 🙌
II. In the morning (maybe one morning, maybe every morning) turn on some mood music and let your body move and dance ✨ Much better way to start the day than hopping right onto your phone/computer.
III. Feelin’ the heat? Make yourself a yummy frozen treat! I recommend Thug Kitchen’s buckeyes or super green cacao energy bites. We’re big fans of the buckeyes made with toasted Kamut instead of millet.
Soulful Salutations
I. “Invent your world. Surround yourself with people, color, sounds, and work that nourish you.” — Susan Ariel Rainbow Kennedy
II. “Be soulful. Be kind. Be in love.” — Rumi
III. “Balance is not something you find, it's something you create.” — Jana Kingsford
Uplifting Things Happening Around The World
I.Costa Rica created an antibody-rich plasma that could neutralize the coronavirus in humans that carry it. Clinical trials will begin soon!
II. This is really cute - CVG Airport launched a campaign to reunite a stuffed puppy with it’s 6 year old owner.
III. France will relaunch the development of “railway highways.” It will carry food and other goods that now go by truck, and thereby reduce the country’s carbon footprint!
IV. If you are worried about the oxygen levels while wearing a mask, check out this doctor who ran 22 miles to work and back wearing a mask, and showed that oxygen levels never fell below 98% of what it would usually be.
V. One NFL lineman who plays for the Kansas City Chiefs will forgo the football season, so he can keep working as a doctor on the front lines fighting COVID19.
VI. This is amazing! - A Los Angeles–based nonprofit The Housing Innovation Collaborative (HICo) launched The Rapid Shelter Innovation Showcase, which is crowd sourcing ideas to get more housing for the homeless. There are already 40 shelter ideas to be considered,
Have a great week!
Be well,
Sheila
