There She Goes: I Veuve December (&you)
Hello & Happy Wednesday
Hi friends! I hope you all enjoyed the release of Our Common Thread and the photos that I shared in last week’s newsletter. There is another recent and exciting release — Two of the most popular Veuve canvases are now available as kits! Check out the I Veuve You More Than Bubbles and I Veuve You More Than Rosé. Also, the mini Veuve is now available on 13 mesh as a 5" x 5". Cheers to that!
Back in stock updates — The Tenacious Traveler Clutch (pictured above) is back in stock and the perfect gift for your favorite nomad (or *cough cough* yourself 😜) This clutch was finished by needlepoint.com ❤. The Olivier The Owl on 13 is also back in action!
Songs To Stitch To, Sing To, Get You Through The Week
Set Aside Some Time This Week For Some Self-Care
I. Host a stitching night with friends, put away the phones, and enjoy! If they’ve never stitched before, perfect! Get them going on something fun and simple like the I Veuve You mini or Blue Dream.
II. Let go of being “perfectionist driven” and strive to be “excellence driven.” This is what Brendon Burchard says will help you achieve success but, most importantly, avoid burnout.
II. Say Thanks! to you. This is something that I try and integrate at the end of every yoga class… take a step back and allow gratitude for yourself to wash over you — for the good company you keep, the bright ideas you have, and your body’s ability to safely move through the day.
Soulful Salutations
“Dear Self, It’s okay to unfollow people on Instagram… and in real life.” — @FemaleCollective 🙏
“You are a shimmer of loving light, who vibrates for an eternity, destined to create incredible things.” — Phoebe Garnsworthy
“I think beauty comes from actually knowing who you are. That’s real beauty to me.” — Ellen DeGeneres
Uplifting Things Happening Around The World
I. Did you see the amazing collections of illustrations by Mauro Gatti? The article is called I’m Honestly Fed Up With All The Bad News, So I Illustrated 50 Of The Best Ones From 2019. If you love this Uplifting News section, this is absolutely for you, and also check out his “Happy Broadcast."
II. On December 7th, thousands of people in cities across the world spent the night sleeping outside. Why? It’s called The World’s Big Sleep Out and it aims to bring awareness to homelessness/displacement and to raise money. Will Smith was even there and performed “Fresh Prince” as a bedtime story!
III. A high school in Arizona added a laundry room to their building to take the pressure off of kids who do not have access to washer/dryers and are embarrassed to come into school with dirty clothing. What a unique and impactful solution!
Have a great week!
Be well,
Sheila
