There She Goes: In Like A Lion

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Welp, it’s officially March, would you look at that! I know this can be a sobering time, as it’s been a year since the start of quarantine. That said, today I challenge you to think about:

  1. Something you are super grateful for that has occurred in the past year

  2. Someone that has made this past year a bit brighter for you

  3. One thing that you are proud of, be it a way you’ve grown or something you’ve achieved

Stay well & healthy ❤️

I. Take care of you by nurturing your gut health — are there foods, elixirs, or breathing exercises that make you feel good? Are there things that you can reduce that don’t agree with your gut? Experiment this week with intention.

II. Try slow walking this week, bonus points if you do so without headphones in or consuming external input. Simply be and move.

III. Take a local adventure. This can be as simple as exploring a nearby neighborhood on foot. Simply switching things up can give you a creative boost!

Uplifting Things Happening Around The World

II. Dolly Parton got the Moderna vaccine, which she helped to fund the research of! Check out her vaccine-edition of Jolene

III. The end of an era — Greyhound racing will soon be only history

Wild Creations: Inspiring Projects to Create plus Plant Care Tips & Styling Ideas for Your Own Wild Interior — by Hilton Carter

I have greatly enjoyed the work of Hilton Carter in the last year that I have been following him. Botanist, cinematographer, stylist, the titles continue as means to articulate his great talent. His Instagram is a world of beauty and truth and I highly recommend! Looking forward to his latest book and am pining for his previous works.

Mending Matters: Stitch, Patch, and Repair Your Favorite Denim & More — by Katrina Rodabaugh

Growing up, I think it is honest to say that 95% of my clothing was either passed down from fashionable aunties, my mother or thrifted at goldmine consignment shops. I love how every garment has a story, how they have served as armor in good times and bad. Now that I’m getting older, I am realizing how much I missed out on the Home Ec wave and have been actively learning how I can upcycle or repair my wardrobe. I may be a needlepoint artist, but I can’t sew for the life of me!

Secret Gardens of The Cotswolds — by Victoria Summerley and Hugo Rittson

Hugo Rittson is known for his beautiful portraiture of figureheads like The Queen of England and The Dalai Lama. This coffee table book of English Gardens is surely to be a rabbit hole of a treat!
