Set Aside Some Time This Week For Some Self-Care

I. On Wednesday I was sitting outside while on the phone with my coach. She encouraged me to lay back in the grass and arm my arms wide to the sky and wow did it feel good. Try this trick to attract abundance and get grounded.

II. Have you tried Morning Pages? It’s the practice of writing three pages stream-of-consciousness first thing in the morning and it excellent for busting creative blocks and cultivating a clear mind.

III. Next time you have your favorite cuppa (coffee/tea/elixir) focus on physically cupping the mug with your hands, mindfully observing the warmth and steam, and sipping slowly to savoir each moment.

Soulful Salutations

I.“Take notice of what light does - to everything." — Tess Guinery

II. “Creativity doesn’t wait for that perfect moment. It fashions its own perfect moments out of ordinary ones.” — Bruce Garrabrandt

III. “You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.” — Maya Angelou

Uplifting Things Happening Around The World

I. Prince Harry and Meghan (The Duke and Duchess of Sussex) mobilized a global fundraiser that has so far raised $1.888 million to buy COVID-19 vaccines for the world’s most vulnerable people over.

II. The number of COVID deaths is at it’s lowest level in 10 months in the USA.

III. Britain will be banning LGBT conversion therapy and will provide more support to those that have undergone the treatment.

Ted Lasso (Apple +) This show was as therapeutic as it was charming and I appreciated every single episode. I learned about this show from one of my favorite people to follow, Hitha Palepu. Knowing that we have similar taste in books, shows, etc. when she recommends something, I have to do a little snooping. I decided to go into it blind and am so glad I did. Ted Lasso is a former football coach who finds himself managing a soccer team in the UK. With a heart full of gold and a brain full of witty one-liners, the Lasso way is the kind way and July cannot come sooner for the next season. If you like She's The Man, you'll definitely love this! One of my favorite takeaways was the line, "Be curious, not judgemental." I think that will definitely need to become a needlepoint pillow!

Longmire (Netflix) After a realization that there will be many months until the next season of Yellowstone comes out, Ethan mentioned that he had watched a show called Longmire a while back that had similar underpinnings. I was game. Set in Wyoming, Longmire follows a sheriff named Walt who is as stubborn as he is compassionate. It is a little bit more like Law & Order so far than Yellowstone's likening to Breaking Bad, but I certainly recommend adding it to your list if you're keen on Western storylines.

The Artist's Way by Julia Cameron (Book): I fondly remember seeing a well-loved, dog-eared and highlighted copy all over my childhood as my mother swears by it. Naturally, it often takes me years to do anything she does, lol, and I decided to splurge on a beautiful copy from Liberty in London. I only have a couple days of the journey under my belt, but I'm looking forward to restoring my artistic practice through her methods.
