There She Goes: Storytelling, Self Care, Soul-Full Things
Hello & Happy Wednesday!
Hi beautiful stitchers. I hope that you all have been weaving a balance between self care and time out in the world doing whatever makes your soul happy!
After sending the email last week, we saw that the video of the TED Talk with Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie did not pull through. If you did not click through to the newsletter (which did show the video) you can do so now. Click here!
If you have some time on your hands this weekend and are interested in taking some time to practice yoga, journal, and connect with a beautiful community, I invite you to join me at a retreat! My dear friend, Carina, is partnering with Irene Auma and Peace Within Prison Yoga for this amazing event. The event will run from 11am - 12:40pm EST on Sunday, June 14th. Email sheila@thornalexander.com if you’d like to know more!

Set Aside Some Time This Week For Some Self-Care
I. Ask yourself what kind of tone you’ve been using this week in your inner monologue. Has your inner critic been rearing it’s head? Try to refocus on kind thoughts. Check out this blog for 3 steps to managing your thoughts.
II. Take some time to look within and to rejuvenate in your favorite way: be it through your journal, a conversation with a friend, a bubble bath, poetry, etc.
III. Eat something fresh! Check out your local farmers market or supermarket for the best seasonal fruit and vegetables. New to buying seasonal? This guide is helpful! Keep in mind it varies depending on where you live too!
