There She Goes: Cozy Latte Season
Helloooo November
Today I got to sip lattes with this lovely lady!
Happy November, friends! As always, it feels wild that it could already be this time of year but the days are, indeed, darkening and there is a brisk chill in the night air. Time to break out the cozy socks! Over the past week I’ve been carving out time specifically dedicated to creating yoga flows and to meditation. Over the past month I’ve also been working on a big initiative that will honor my mother and give back to the community. I can’t reveal the details just yet, as I plan to launch on her birthday (November 9th) but you can follow me on social and be one of the first to know 💕 I’ll share more details next week. For now, enjoy this good stuff I gathered for you.
Songs To Stitch To, Sing To, Get You Through The Week
See The Light — Electric Guest
I’d Be Waiting — Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats
Blind Leading the Blind — Mumford & Sons
Set Aside Some Time This Week For Some Self-Care
I. Write a thank you note to someone. A hand-written “thank you for being you” or “thank you for that time you brought me coffee on a bad day last year” never goes unappreciated!
II. To go along with your cozy socks, treat yourself to a yummy raw cacao latte or turmeric tea elixir and sip niiiice and slow.
III. Make a vow to be a little bit kinder to yourself this week! Repeating positive affirmations is a great way to do it!
Soulful Salutation
“Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don’t resist them; that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.” — Lao Tzu
“Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself” — Rumi
“Vent about your joy. Not just about your problems” — Unknown
Uplifting Things Happening Around The World
I. A brewery in North Dakota is featuring dogs that are up for adoption on their beer cans. What an amazingly creative way to drum up support for a struggling rescue!
II. An 110-year-old tree needed to be cut down… and a woman turned the stump into a magical library. Guys you have to see this!
III. Coworkers helping coworkers: A woman was walking 12 miles each day for three months to commute home from work because her car had broken down. A colleague found out what she was doing and started an initiative to buy her a new car!
Have a great week!
Be well,
Sheila
