There She Goes: Deeply Rooted

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

girl-looking-garden-of-gods.JPG

How’s everyone doing? I’ve noticed that a lot of people have picked up sourdough baking, mask-making, and recording online videos for their loyal yogis/barre students/etc. Flour has completely disappeared off the store shelves, shipments are taking weeks that used to take days, the world is slowing. This can feel exciting; cathartic even. It can also feel stressful as heck. We are in a time of adaptation and you can follow your 💜 or try to keep up with your list of “should”s.

I encourage you to:

Take a deep breath in, and allow yourself to fully feel the expectations you have for yourself.

Exhale, release the expectations (even for a moment) … how do you feel? See what you can release and surrender to this week.

Brooke wrote a blog recently called “Deeply Rooted”. I think the idea of feeling rooted/grounded is what we all need right now, as it helps us stay centered and feel a deep sense of connection to our past, present, and future. Sending you all a virtual hug, I hope you enjoy this weeks feel-good newsletter!

Set Aside Some Time This Week For Some Self-Care

I. Nourish yourself with enough good food so you don’t crave the junk. Now is a great time to decrease the amount of processed food we pick up while out & about in the world and start consuming allll the nutrient-rich things. Eat early & often and support your body with yummy fuel.

II. Be realistic & intentional about your exercise. Yes, there are not a thousand workouts streamed daily but that doesn’t mean to have to do them all! Move in ways that bring you joy, and be conscious of any unnecessary pressure you are putting on yourself to workout just because things are more accessible now.

III. Pick one thing in your house to clean then check the mental box ✔️. Perhaps it’s a horizontal surface, perhaps it’s your sheets, perhaps it’s your dog. Pick it, try to enjoy doing it, then give yourself a pat on the back. Mission complete.

Uplifting Things Happening Around The World

I. A 16-yo pilot is flying medical supplies to rural areas — “The most recent flight carried 3,000 gloves, 1,000 head covers, 500 shoe covers, 50 non-surgical masks, 20 pairs of protective eye-wear and 10 concentrated bottles of hand sanitizer”

II. New electricity generation hit record levels in 2019! Just as exciting — green technology including solar & wind provide more than one third of the world’s power.

III. John Krasinski started “Some Good News” to entertain and spread happy stories from around the globe. Episode 2 is epic. If you haven’t seen it yet, don’t miss out (watch till the end).
