Hello & Happy Wednesday!

A Sheila Anne Doodle by Brooke! See more here.

This past week I’ve been working on getting more settled into my apartment space & routine and I’ve realized that one could probably spend their whole life getting “settled & organized” 😆 …

As we are spending more time inside, I feel it’s even more important to prioritize making your space a happy and calming place to be. I no longer call my office “the office” but have dubbed it instead “the oasis,” since it’s where I spend most of my time working / stitching / practicing yoga. Simply changing the name has made the space a bit different to enter and pass time in 🧘🏻‍♀️.

I also published a new blog that I am super excited about — “Waste Not : Kitchen Edition.” If you enjoy creating simplicity & minimalism in your life, this blog is for you! I share various products and actions that I’ve picked up over the years to create a kitchen that fosters simplicity and little waste. Enjoy!

I run, I climb, I strength-train, and I love a good mom walk (for me this means taking a leisurely walk while chatting with a friend and spilling the tea).  Oh, and I needlepoint …” Read on here >

III. Hang out with fellow stitcher, Hitha Palepu & listen to her podcast 1 Smart Thing, which goes deeply into topics that might typically feel a bit tricky to navigate on your own.

Soulful Salutations

“Visualization is the act of willfully forming mental images. To affect material reality using visualization, form images for your subconscious mind to use as patterns to work from.” — James Gor Jr

“The purpose of life is to grow and to share. When you come to look back on all that you have done in life, you will get more satisfaction from the pleasure you brought to other people’s lives.” — Harold Kushner

“You get peace of mind not by thinking about it or imagining it, but by quietening and relaxing the restless mind. Your nature is absolute peace. You are not the mind. Silence your mind through concentration and meditation, and you will discover the peace of the spirit you are and have always been.” — Remez Sasson

Uplifting Things Happening Around The World

I. A 99 year old British Veteran raised $9 million dollars for the U.K.'s National Health Service by walking 100 laps around his garden. His goal was to raise just over $1000 dollars and was astonished by the flood of support.

II. A woman started creating hilarious (& impressive) sidewalk art to create smiles in her community.

III. Lego is building 13,000 face visors a day for Danish healthcare workers.

Have a great week!

Be well,
Sheila
