There She Goes: The Pull Of What You Love
Hello & Happy Thursday!
It seems that the world is sighing in relief this week. Do you feel it too? I actually had a friend in Scotland check in on me last week, to see how I was doing, because she couldn’t sleep due to election thoughts! No matter what you wanted the outcome to be, it feels generally good to no longer hold the weight of uncertainty.
On Monday the 9th, it was my mom’s birthday. This was the third we’ve celebrated since her passing. Since she’s such a bright soul, I always do try to honor her by enjoying the day, reflecting on happy memories, and being kind to others.
Last week I was sharing helpful tips to promote well-being, and I think that’s something we all still need. This should help.

Set Aside Some Time This Week For Some Self-Care
I. Soul food! You know I’m a sucker for all things sourdough. Welp, this weekend my partner and I made sourdough DONUTS! We don’t have a recipe ready to share with you yet but just the act of making something I never expected to make at home + that something being delicious and heart-warming… well, there are few things as good in life.
II. Start of the day in a special way. Lately I’ve enjoyed starting off a few mornings a week with gentle movement and meditation. I like lighting a candle or salt lamp as well to really create some soft vibes.
III. Bring awareness to your screen time. I’m not sure about you but last week I was stuck to my phone 😬. I knew that would happen, so I didn’t judge myself for it. However, this week I am being much more intentional about turning my phone over or leaving it in a separate room, so I can be present with what I’m working on.
