There She Goes: On The Road Again!
Hello From The Road!
Welcome to a special edition newsletter! As I write to you, I am traveling between Chicago, Illinois, and Lawrence, Kansas. It’s day three on the road and I think we’ve mastered the art of the road trip already! Well… always room for improvement but we’re feeling pretty good. On Monday morning we took off from New Hampshire with a packed Subaru, a loaf of bread, and a dream of mountain-side living. Our end destination is Colorado but the astute She & Jim follower won’t be surprised to hear that we are making a point to stop and visit friends & family along the way.
So you might be thinking to yourself, “Wait you mentioned special edition… What’s that about?!” Well, today we have many things to share: Brooke filled me in on her 2020 goals; we of course have some Thorn Alexander product updates; and we have new things to share about the Thorn Alexander Style Blog!
Brooke’s 2020 vision
Brooke checked off a big bucket list item & keeps climbing to new heights!

There She Goes
As I mentioned, my partner and I began a road trip this week, to move from New Hampshire to Colorado. Since we were in Oregon just one week ago, we only had a few days to pack — and off we went! I feel so grateful to be able to visit with friends & family along the way, which makes the long trip so much more enjoyable! I am sharing a few fun facts below from three of our stops!
Fun Facts about The places we’ve stopped through
I. Rochester, NY is home to the Charlotte-Genesee Lighthouse, which is the the oldest, active, surviving lighthouse on the Great Lakes.
II. Sears Tower (known now as the Willis Tower) in Chicago, was once the tallest building in the world. It has since been surpassed many times and is the 23rd tallest building in the world.
III. The town of Lawrence, Kansas was established by the New England Emigrant Aid Company with a political agenda – to shift the balance of power toward anti-slavery, so Kansas would enter the United States as a free state rather than a slave state. Super interesting!
Have a stellar week everyone!
Be well,
Sheila
