I hope that you are having a wonderful week thus far and I hope that today’s newsletter will make it even better! We have some snow in Denver, which I am totally loving!
I know I’m not the only one who is scratching their head at the calendar — though it’s only two weeks into January it certainly feels like so much has happened in our world in a short amount of time. I hope that you all are staying safe and healthy and I am so happy to have you here, reading this newsletter.
We are BACK and so excited to have you here with us! I hope that you all enjoyed the holidays in your own special way. I am looking forward to seeing a hopeful year unfold, and it all can start here, today, with a little joy & light!
So happy to share another jam-packed newsletter of uplifting things to get you over the hump of the week and send you into the end of 2020 with a positive BANG!
Welcome to another newsletter, I hope that you are well. 💜 Last week we started off a new month and - ahem- the last month of 2020, and I hope I can help you cultivate some lightness and joy as we tie off the year.
Hello, good morning, good afternoon, good evening, depending on where you’re tuning in from 👋. Here in the United States we celebrate Thanksgiving this week, which I’ve always known to be a time of being kind, feeling grateful, eating yummy things, and connecting with loved ones. In the year 2020, easy-breezy celebration and connection is harder.
Hello and welcome to another weekly edition of There She Goes, a newsletter that I embarked on writing for you during the Spring of 2019, right before traveling for 5 months, and ever since I’ve been sharing weekly updates, uplifting tidbits, and stories. If you’re new - welcome! If you’ve been here since the beginning - thank you for continuing to join us!
It seems that the world is sighing in relief. Do you feel it too? I actually had a friend in Scotland check in on me last week, to see how I was doing, because she couldn’t sleep due to election thoughts! No matter what you wanted the outcome to be, it feels generally good to no longer hold the weight of uncertainty.
It is officially November of 2020. Anyone else scratching their heads? This past week has been quite the doozy with Mercury in retrograde, the harvest full moon, Halloween, and the election 😅 whew!
Read MoreHello beautiful humans. The newsletter has arrived - yay! I just recently returned from visiting with a childhood friend, and upon returning moved into a new home, so I had to delay the newsletter one day and I’m so glad you’re still reading!
Read MoreI’m off to visit a friend this weekend and I couldn’t be more excited. It’s been such a long time since I’ve seen this friend and I finally decided to make it happen, even if it meant dealing with all the logistics (both getting COVID tested, being extra-super-safe beforehand, and leaving my partner with our puppy for the first time ever!).
Read MoreWelp this is a very exciting week indeed! Not only have voter turnout rates been broken in multiple states (over 14M across the nation!), but Thorn Alexander also launched our first finished products! You can check out the information in the “What’s New” Section or jump to it straight away here. This is a limited release and each stocking purchase will benefit a charity or plant a tree. 💕
Read MoreI hope you all are doing well and enjoying Fall, however it may be in your part of the world. I’m loving the warm days and chilly nights and the weather is making outdoor activities that much more pleasant!
Read MoreCan you believe it — today is the final day in the month of September! I have trouble wrapping my head around this. A friend of mine put the perfect words to this passing of time — “The days go by slowly but the weeks go by fast!” Anyone else relate?
Read MoreEveryone have their spiced apple cider or PSL* at the ready? Fall has officially arrived. I’m not sure how many of you might be excited about this and how many are wishing for summer to continue forever, but I’m certainly on the side of welcoming cooler weather!
Read MoreI wanted to start off by acknowledging those of you affected by the wildfires, including those that are supporting loved ones from afar. My heart goes out to you and I am sending tons of good energy and hope.
Read MoreWhelp… this has been a bonkers week in Colorado weather-wise. We had fires burning like crazy over the weekend, temps in the 90s, and then on Tuesday there was snow! My dog, Buckwheat, who was born in April and hasn’t experienced temperatures less than 65 degrees had a real shock and even sprinted around our home after coming in from the cold 😆.
Read MoreAh this week has just rolled along nicely - for the first time in a while it feels like! Finally I have a grasp on a routine and I didn’t realize how important that would be for my stress level and for my soul.
Read MoreWhy hello there! It’s me again, here with weekly updates & bits of inspiration.
I realize that I’ve been writing a weekly newsletter for you all for about a year and a half now! I’ve shared stories about traveling through Western America, backpacking Europe, and returning home to the United States, to then move from New Hampshire to Colorado 😅. What an amazing opportunity it’s been to share travel experiences, musings on life, and to keep to up-to-date on the latest from Thorn Alexander.
Read MoreOn the road again! I am off on another road trip, along with my partner (James) our pup (Buckwheat). This time we are heading from the East Coast back to Denver, to settle back into our Colorado life! It was so wonderful to spend a few weeks at home and I feel privileged to have the opportunity to be mobile during this time. We took extra precautions when traveling to stay safe, and I’m now looking forward to some time staying put in one place for a little while.
